Forest School for knee-high naturalists

Spring session 2025

Join teacher Kiki and lots of friends for fun and learning in the forest! You and your knee-high naturalist will have a blast as we explore the woods and waterways of Doolittle County Park and Gales Pond. Children will access their sense of awe and curiosity while gaining preschool readiness skills through a variety of learning activities including music and movement, story time, games and crafts. Each day includes a hike as well as open play time at Base Camp where children will enjoy the mud kitchen, obstacle course, painting area and lots of climbing opportunities.

who can attend?

Our forest school program is designed for budding naturalists in the range of 3-6 years old, with an accompanying adult. Babes in arms are always welcome for no additional fee. We do try to keep our group to a reasonable size for the enjoyment of all, but if space is available, tag-along older siblings and guest visitors may attend for a per day fee of $12 payable on site.

When and where will we meet?

The Knee-High Naturalists program meets on Fridays, 9:30 -11:30am, at Doolittle County Park, N. 112th Ave, Hart, Michigan.
